Newcastle, Westchesteb Co.—The Caotain A. Q. Ross property,
consisting of ninety-aix acres, has been sold to G. S. Birrell, of Loudon,

houaes and stores which John and Nicbolas Cotter wiU build od the plot,
200x306, OD ISStb and 139th streets and Alexander avenue. The buildings
are to be five stories bigb, built of Philadeiphia pressed brick witb brown-
stoue trimmings, are to have fire-proof beams and hardwood interiortrim,
cabinet mautels, steam heat andeleetrÍeUgblaandallotherimproveraents.
êeven in 138th atreet are to he 36x75, fivo in 139th street are to be 25x75,
the 188tb street eorner is to be 25x96, the 139th street comer 85x77.6, and
three in Alexander avenue 25x63 ĩn size.    The cost is estimated at $400,000.

Wra, and John McCaffrey willbuildsixflve-story apartment houses with
stores from plansby C. A. Millueron tbe uortbcastcomer of Willis avenue
and 137th street, at a cost of $125,000. Tbe corner house is to be 25x71,
two on the street will be 25x75 each and the three on Willis avenue 25x63
feet each. Tbey are to bave fire-proof beams, pressed brick and brown-
stone fronts, hardwocd trim, cabinet manteis, steam beat, eiectric lights
and all otber convenienees.

On the easb side of Coiurabus avenue, 50 f eeb south of 67tb etreet, Chas.
R. Saul wiU build an eigbt-story fii^e-proof warehouse, 50x97, with concrete
roof, freight and passeuger elevators and flre-proof stairs. All the oppoiut-
ments will be flrst-class and arrangements wĩil be made for speciai room.s

yet determined.

Charles Richard Moi-viu wiU draw plans for a three-story low stoop
house to be built at No. 34 Remsen street for Chaa. Davidson. It Is to be
20x73 in size, in tbe Italian Renaissance, witb first story of Tuckahoe
raarble, secocd story a combination of specbled Tiffany brick and marble,
and tbe tbird story of plain Tiffany brick. The roof is to be of Spauisb
tile and the interior cabinet-trimmed tbroughout.

Henry Roth has the contract to build a uew ptistal station for the United
States Government, »t a cost of $50,000, on the northeast eomer of Broad-
way ond Greene avenue. It will be of briek and Ertone, aize 30x75 feet,
and flve storieshigh.

G. P. Cbappell bas tbe piaus for a fine residence to be built at No. 26
Remsen street, for a Mr. Matheson.

Flatbush,—The Weedon Plan and Conatrnction Co. have the contractg
for the erectton of a row of cottages for A. W. Dudley. Three flats, ona
with store, ai^e aiso to be erected —Edward L. Sehu, of New York, has
hought four lots here and contemplates building a handsome Queen Anne
cottagp.

The iutertor of the house is to be entirely overhauled and a two-and-a-balf-
story frĸroe ell estenaion, 34s38, wiU be added ia conformity to the style

Soothampton, L, I,—E. C. Pettib has corapleted plans for a two-and-a-
half-story frame dwelling, 46x43, the exterior partly finished in sbingles,
and with interior triro o£ whifce wood, to be built for W. Walton at a cost
of $8,000.

MoRRiSTOWN, N. J.—A three-story stone and frame dwelling is to be
built bere for J, B. Dickson for which M. W. Morris is tbe arcbitecb. The
house wiil be 80x100 in siae, Colonial in style, both ĩn the design and in its
interior modeling aud flnish.    $40,000 ia its estiraated cost.

RUTHERFORD, N, J.—A two aud-a-ba!f-story frame Queen Anne cot-
tage. 20x43, is to be built' from plans by W. A. Lambert for K, G. Van
Brunt at a eost of $4,000. The same arcbitect haa plauned a two-aud-a-
half-story frame bouse, 36x36, in the Colouíal style, for Sanford Joyce.
Cost, $3,700.

Newtown, L, I,—A two-story and basement frame cottage, size 36x34,
Colonial style, will be built here for Henry Buttjer aĩ a cost of $10,000.

for a two-story Qiieen Anne cottage, 20x45, for Rĩchard M, Farrington, to
