Chambers st, east of West Broadway. ,*6J2. 8(ií). tS81, N 966, (1004). On page »642 an aiictton saĩe câc be found, On page 869 a conveyance can be foiind, On page tSSl a plan for a new building can be found. On page N 966 a movtgage can be found un- der Ihe letter N, On page (1004) a lease can be found. AUCTION SALES. The * appearing before any number indi- cates Ihe page on which to find an Auction Sale; for inslance. see Bleecker st, Crom Greene 10 Wooster st. ."1000, CONVEYANCES are dlstinguished by numbers-without having signs attached thereto, In niany instances ihere will be found streets, etc, indexed unûer pages which, on being e.\amined, show at onc6 that they are not in their proper order accord- ing to our customary alphabetical aud numeri- cal arrangement. A. furlher examination will disclose the fact Ibat while the properties ap- pear more promineutly under the other street descriptions, they nevenheless extend to the streets. etc, indicaled by the Index, and hav- [ng a fronlage on same have been incUided in (he paging, and it will necessitate a somewhat more thorough search than usua! to locale it. The Leases, Mortgages, Auction Salcs and Pro- Jected Buildings are índexed in a sĩmilar man- ner to the plan followed wlth the Conveyances. LEASES. The lîgures in parenihesis. for instance, page (922) under the head ot Atlorney st, from Grand to Broonae st—denote tbat the trans- aclion on the page given is Leasehold, an as- signment of lease or a lease runniEg for a f,hort or long term of yeara. This explanation is made so Ihat subscribers searchiog for trans- fers In fee oan at once distinguish between the former and the latter wiĩhout referring to the pages mentioned. MORTGAGES. All Ihe morlgages are indexed against the street or avenue in whicb tbe property is lo- eated, aud memoranda added lo enable seareh- ers to find the particulars in "The Record and Cnide," For example. Ann st, from Nassan lo Goia st. appears followed by W 139, T 271. Tbis mesns that a mortgage against the prop- erly on Anii st appears on pages 139 and 2T1, andWand T are tbe initial letters of the mort- gagors or borrowers. The streets and avenues are so subdivided that very few references are necessary, All readers of '■The Record and Guide- are aware that the mortgages appear weekly in alphabetical order, so that tbey have, so to speak, a weekly index of mortgagors. This publicalion of an index against property completes the information which those mter- ested may require. PROJBGTED BUILDINGS. are included under the Bime general heading. and are dislinguished by ihe t whicb precedes ihe flumbering, See Barclay st. from West Broadway to Greenwich. .tCS.
