RIDGE ST.—Bernstein & Bernstein. 72 Trinity pl, are finishing the plans for a 6-sty 44.5x63.6 tenement, to be erected at the northeast corner of Ridge and Division sts, the owner is Jacob Bernstein. HOUSTON ST.—Bernstein & Bernstein, 72 Trinity pl, will pre¬ pare the plans for two 6-sty 50x100 tenements, to be built at the southwest corner of Houston and Lewis sts. The owner is Jacob Wynstein. GRAND ST.—A, E. Badt, 1 Union sq, will draw the plans for the erection of a 6-sty 50x62 tenement, at the northwest cor¬ ner of Willett and Grand sts, it wiil cost about $50,000. The owner is Mr. Predworsky. Estimates Receivable. By Treasury Department, Washington, D, C, until June 10, at 3 p, m.. for the construction of the U. S. Y,-Parfitt Bros., 26 Court st, have completed plans for three residences, 2%-sty, 27x45. frame to be built at Voorhees av, between ISth and IGth sts, Sheepshead Bay, Brookiyn, They wil! cost about $4,500 each, and are for Margaret Mengis, of Sheepshead Bay. The general contract has been awarded to Ed-5\'ard J. Vail, Jr., of Bath Bach, Brook¬ lyn. ST. CHRISTOPHER HOSPITAL, N. Y.—Parfitt Bros., 26 Court st have finished the plans for a new building. 50x50, aiid exterior and interior alterations, to the present building of the St. Christopher Hospital for Babies, 2S1-283 Hicks av, and have awarded the following contracts: Carpentry. Louis Mader. 220 Vernon av; mason, Watson & Otis, 7 Greene av; plumbing, M. F. Gleason, 1351 Sth av; steam heating, W. H. Curtin Mfg. Co., 331 Adams st; rooflng. Commonwealth Rooflng Co. 45 Waverly av; painting. William Honick, 1052 De Kalb av;' fireproofing Schratweiser Fireproofing Con, Co., 426 Sd av; iron, H. Soft, 556 Hamilton av; tiling, Traitel Bros. Sc Co., 133 West 4^d st" New York City. 3D ST.-The Merrick Construction Co., No. 1 Broadway, have been awarded tbe general contract for building the 6-sty brick loft buiiding, at 2S-S2 3d st and 219 Greene st, from plans by Francis L. Ellingwood, 121 West 42d st. Estimated cost is $60.- 000. Schumanns Sons, jewelers, 937 Eroadway, are the owners. 55TH ST.—R. J. Mahoney, 1133 Eroadway, has been awarded the contract for making the alterations to 46 West 55th st, a 4-sty brick dwelling, owned by J. H. Bissell. A 2 and 4-sty extension wili be added. E, L, Tilton, 32 Broadway, is the ar¬ chitect, and the estimated cost is $10,000, WHITE PLAINS.-E. E. Paul. 2S9 4th av, has been awarded the general contract for building the White Plains telephone building for the N. Y. Telephone Co., 14-22 Cortlandt st, C. L. W. Eidiitz. Townsend Building, Broadway and 25th st, is the architect. ISTH ST.—Brogan Construction Co., 509 West 112th st, are the general contractors, as -neil as owners, of the 10-sty brick factory and stores to be built at 15-17 East 18th st, from plans by Israels & Harder, 31 West Slst st The estimated cost is $190,000. The old houses are now being demolished. TOTH ST.—R. J. Mahoney, 1133 Broadway, was awarded the contract for the mason work, S. Teets the plumbing, Ober & Blumberg the electric work, and the Otis Elevator Co. are to put in an automatic elevator in the alterations to the house of Joseph Eastman, 6 East 70th st. Plans by Rossiter & Wright, Oo Liberty st. Miscellaneous. Heins & La Farge, 22 East 21st st, are preparing the plans for an ostrich house, 1-sty, S2xlSG; also a small mammal house, 1-sty, 53x150, to be built in Bronx Park. Suburban. HOBOKEN, N. J.—Callery & Murphy submitted the lowest bid, $39,402, for brick and pipe sewer in Fisher av. OYSTER BAT.—The contract for the erection of a 2-sty coach¬ man's cottage, 25x45, also a 2-sty stable, 75x80. for W. R. Peters, was awarded to Harvey Murdock. The architects are Rossiter & Wright, 95 Liberty st MONTCLAIR, N. J.—The congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montclair are to build a new church edifice, $25,000, having already been pledged toward meeting the cost. The church will be located at Midland av and Walnut st, and will cost about $30,000. Plans have not yet been secured, D. V. Harrison is chairman of the building committee. In Other Cities. LOCKPORT, N, Y.—Architect W. E. Huston has completed plans for the new William st school. They have been sub¬ mitted to the Board of Education. SYRACUSE, N. Y.—The Syracuse Casket Company will erect a new factory, 50x115, at West Jefferson and South Clinton sts. It will be four stories in height and built of brick. The contract has not been awarded. ONE THOUSAND ISLANDS, N, T.—Aueiistus N.Allen, Wind¬ sor Arcade, New Tork, has the plans under preparation for a 1-sty, 25x50, library building, to be erected for E. R, Holden, of One Thousand Islands. The contract has been given to Otis Brooks, Clayton, N. Y. PLAINVILLE, CONN.—Plans are ready for a power plant of the Connecticut Railway & Lighting Co.. J. E. Sewell, Gen. Mgr., Bridgeport, Conn. NEWARK, N. J.—Preliminary plans have been drawn by the county engineers for the proposed $450,000 bridge over the Hackensack. ROCHESTER, N. Y.—Reports state that plans have been drawn for a new science buiiding for the University of Rochester. Cost, $75,000. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y.—A 12-Ety hotel-sanitaTium. 247x 260 ft, will be erected at cost of between §2,000,000 and $S,000,- 000. The Charles P. Boland Company received the contract. PLAINFIELD, N. J.—A high school will be erected at cost of $125,000. TRENTON, N. J.—Kendrick & Roberts, architects, 1120 Chest¬ nut st, Philadelphia, Pa., received contract for erecting a brick, stone and steel fireproof theatre at $100,000 for O. S. Wilkinson. NEWPORT, R. I.—The plans of Creighton Withers, architect 22 Bellevue av, for the $100,000 high school building have been accepted. LAFAYETTE, SUSSEX CO., N. J.—The Prentice Tool and Supply Co. have filed plans In Jersey City for a brick factory, 122x218, 37 feet high, to be built in Lafayette, at a cost of $22,500. ELIZAEETHTOWN, N. Y.—Augustus N. Allen, Windsor Ar¬ cade, will prepare the plans for a 3-sty stone and half timber residence, 120x50x35x70, to be built at Elizabethtown, N. Y., for Mrs. Mark. Richmond Plans.
