The figures in parenthesis denote that the transaction on the page given is Leasehold, na assignment of lease or a lease running for a short or long term of years. This explanation is made sq that subscribers searching for transfers in fee can at once distinguish be¬ tween the former and tbe latter without re¬ ferring to the pages mentioned. MORTGAGES. All the mortgages are indexed against the street or avenue In which the property is lo¬ cated, and memoranda added to enable search¬ ers to find the particulars in '■The Record and Guide." See "Example." The sireets and avtnues are so subdivided that very few ref- eiences are necessary. All readers of "Tbo Recovil and Guide"' are aware ihat the mort¬ gages appear weekly in alphabetical order, so that ihey have, so to speak, a weekly Index of mortgagors. This publication ol an Index against property completes the information which those interested may require. PROJECTED BUILDINGS are included under the same general heading, acd are distinguished by the t which precedea the numbering. > Front to South. .(1195).
