the west side of Broadway, has been bought by the Realty
company for R. H. Macy & Co. A new 10-sty store will be erected
here by the George A, Fuller Co. De Lemos &. Cordes, No, 130
Fulton st, will probably be the architects. The plot is owned by
the Aycraigg. Hegeman and Grinnell estates. It fronts 211.3 on
Broadway, 374.4 on 34th st and 267.7 on SSth st. It extends back
on both of these streets to Koster & Biai's Theatre. Besides the
purchase of the Tivoli and the Pekin, on SSth st, and No 140
West 36th st, the same company are said to have secured options
on all of the property on Broadway from 35th to SOth st and
extending back to the last mentioned purchases on these streets.

NEW STOCK EXCHANGE PLANS.
Plans for the new Stock Exchange building were submitted to
the Department of Buildings yesterday by George B. Post, the
architect, on behalf of Donald Mackay. President of the New
Tork Stock Exchange Building Company. The new building will
occupy the site of the present home of the Exchange and three
adjoining buildings, and is designed to cost $1,000,000. When
completed it will be Nos. 8 to 16 Broad st, Nos. 6 to 16 New sl and
No 13 Wall St. It will be ten stories high, with facades of mar¬
ble, and wil! front 137.8 feet on Broad st, 152.10 feet on New st
and 14.8 feet on Wall st. The upper part of the building will be
used for offices. John F. O'Rourke has the contract for the foun¬
dations, and is already at work upon them.

BRONX RAPID TRANSIT.
Arguments on the petition to change existing structural plans
for the rapid transit railroad to and in the Bronx so as to create
a margin of funds by which Jerome av could be served were re¬
sumed before the Rapid Transit Commission on Thursday. The
Commission took the matter under advisement, but will still
receive written arguments. The petition was given in full in
the Record and Guide of April 6 last.
We will pay 10c. each for the following numbers of the Record
and Guide, delivered at our ofhce in good condition: Nos. 1662,
1713 and 1720; also Jan. 7, 1885, and Jan. 5. 1889.

45th St. Nos. 163 to 169, four dwellings on plot 71.9x100. have
been purchased by James W. Henning, who already owns No,
171. a 20-ft. dwelling adjoining, and Nos. 1S40 and 1542 Broad¬
way, forming an L with the 45th st plot. This purchase gives
the buyer a plot fronting 91.9 on 45th st and 45.2 on Broadway.
Nos. 173 to 177. three dwellings on plot fronting 60 feefon 45th
st by 75.3 on Broadway, are owned by Lewis Schiele, and to¬
gether with the rest of the block were reported to have been sold
several weeks ago with the buildings just sold. McVickar &
Company were the brokers.
