West End av. The owners will immediately begin the erection
of a 7-sty fireproof apartment house. The asking price for the

105th ST.—Matthew F. Mulvihill in connection with G. Tuoti

'CENTRAL PARK WEST.—Frederick Beck has sold to Her¬
man Wronkow the 5-sty dwelling, on lot 25x100, at 249 Central
Park West, south corner of SSth st. Mr. Wronkow, who gave
other property in exchange for it, has resold the house. Mr. Beck
bought the house in 388S for $123,000, and spent large sums in
improving it In 1902 he transferred it to George Potts in an
exchange for the Chatillon apartment house at the south corner
cf Riverside Drive and 94th st. Mr. Potts added $20,000 to the
$.50,000 mortgage on the house, and transferred it to Asa R,
Davison, who in turn transferred it back to Mr. Beck i-n June,
1903.

A Record Breaker for the Bronx.
3D AV,—J. Clarence Davies has sold for Pranklin A, Wilcox,
the large plot of property at the junction of 3d and Westchester
avs. fronting on the three avenues, Sd. Westchester and Bergen
avs, being 146 feet on 3d av, 230 feet on Westcbester av, 30. feet
on Bergen av, and about 200 feet on the northerly line. The
3d av front contains 3-sty buildings occupied by a large furnit¬
ure store and other stores. This property is in the heart of the
business section of the Bronx, opposite the three largest depart¬
ment stores and at the junction of the elevated railroad and sub¬
way, one block from the terminal of the east side subway. Thie
is the largest piece of business property ever sold in the Bronx.
The price paid was about $300,000. It waa purchased by tbe
Central Realty Bond & Trust Co., of which Henry Morgenthau
is president and ex-mayor Hugh J. Grant, vice-president^
